what's your fave book? Muazz

i don't have ONE favorite book but i can tell you about 4 of my favorites
1. incredibly loud and extremely close:
i remember thinking on 9/11 that i was gonna die. i had to walk over the bridge to get back home to brooklyn and i was worried that something similar was happening all over the world. this book made me explore those feelings for the first time. until i read the book, i never saw the video of the planes crashing down or people jumping from the towers. this book touched me enough where i was literally crying on the train while reading it.it gave me the courage to watch on the news what happened that day at the towers.

2. beloved. AMAZING. shows how far love can push you and bring you back. also incredibly written.

3. tale of two cities this was one of my favorite books growing up. read it at least 2o times. again about how much people are willing to do for love.

4. little women. 'cause come on. even tho its hokey the world would be a really nice place if everyone TRIED to live by the philosophies taught in the book.

baby steps

life seems so hard
but am i making it harder than it has to be?
people seem so complicated
or am i too simple to understand?
everything seems to have its own rhythm and grace
and i am too childish to grasp it

finding passion

i dont have a passion.
i wish i did though.
i love my field and the things i learn, the people i met.
but i envy their drive, their hunger to learn, to pursue SOMETHING
i wake up in the morning just glad to be alive, able to walk to school
thrilled to have a boyfriend i love and would give anything to spend the rest of my life with

i want to have that hobby, expertise, talent
all i have is the need to be alone
and to lose myself in my head

what do to with my free time?
what to do with my life?
how do i live in a world full of other people?

losing focus

i'm a very fickle person. all my life i find a new interest and after exploring what i want i get bored and go back to my old routine. I feel a disconnect between my longing to find and learn new things and a deep seated rooting to just sit back and be complacent. I don't do anything anymore. Back in the city I was much more into being alone and actually doing things but since I've moved out to Long Island I rather just sit in my room and just sit. Maybe it's a reaction to the non stop too afraid to miss out life I used to live. So once again I rededicate myself to self improvement. What I really want is a program or routine to keep pushing myself.

is this true....

The Surprising Lover
68% partner focus, 33% aggressiveness, 70% adventurousness
Based on the results of this test, it is highly likely that:

You prefer your romance and love to wild and daring rather than typical or boring, you would rather be pursued than do the pursuing and, when it comes to physical love, your satisfaction comes more from providing a wonderful time to your partner than simply seeking your own.

This places you in the Lover Style of: The Surprising Lover.

The Surprising Lover is a wonderful Lover Style, and, like the name implies, is often filled with hidden delights and talents that might not be apparent from a surface knowledge of the person. The Surprising Lover is rather like a geode--sometimes rough on the exterior, but filled with beauty and wonder. The Surprising Lover is thus a gem to find, though it can sometimes be difficult to do so because they often tend to be humble and unwilling to reveal their inner greatness unless they're in a rewarding relationship.

In terms of physical love, the Surprising Lover really shines, often highly imaginative and utterly devoted to bringing the heights of pleasure to the one that they truly love. Given a rewarding, reciprocative relationship, and the right lover, the Surprising Lover can be a delight in bed.

Best Compatibility can probably be found with: The Carnal Lover (most of all) or the Exotic Lover, or the Suave Lover.

Congratulations!

how do i say

i wonder at times how to say to him how i feel.

i'm a word person. i can roll them around in mouth, say them with feeling, write them daintily across a page. but when it comes to proving them, explaing them, meaning them: i'm at a loss.

i dont mean i don't mean them. i do when i say it. but i'm not the one to know what i'll do from one day to the next. or know how i'll feel. i've always know that for most part never say never, and say what you when you can. you don't know when the world will flip over or you stop meaning what you meant. so it's hard for me to not only believe what I say but believe what others say. and when i believe wht i say how to show i mean it. and to know when others mean their words. maybe it 's just better to say nothing at all.

but things i say nothing about: like how i awake up most mornings just before dawn and see it flourish on the horizon outside my window. how the most at peace i feel when i'm sleeping next to my boyfriend and i wake up and he's holding me in such a tender way i can't breathe. how i deconstruct mt face twenty times a day in order to love it and understand it and know it.

i feel like i should share them. but when i open my mouth it all seems so silly and insignificant. but when i write it doesn't matter. and wheni write i am able to rid myself of emotions i didn't even know i had.

we spend most of our waking nights together
you have become the object
granite and trapped under my gaze
your blood flows freely
yet it is me who cries
night is quick here
eternal with stars and blue lights
morning comes too soon

simply: now that i am a part of someting so special....i can't express in words out loud. it's confined to the page. it's confined to my touch and my smile and the way my eys close when i'm with you. i don't want to ruin these private moments with others..no matter who they are.

Lazy Sunday

I remember Sundays when I was young: waking up late, eating cereal while watching a movie, just lying around warm and unshowered (remember not showering for a while when you were younger?)

but nowadays I get bored so easily. If I was back in the city (and I made the effort to get up early) I'd probably go to a museum or a early movie and make dinner. Here : wake up late, go to a greasy but filling Kelly brunch and the day goes by slowly yet I look up and the day is over.

there's still time to install new rountines for a new years routine right? So I heard some where that it tales 15 days to form a habit.

ok habit 1: procastinate less. very hard. And I am a queen procastinator but I can do it right?

2. Write everyday. I write a lot more than I used to...But not enough.

3. Study something once a day. At least 1 subject cause the grades aren't looking too good if I don't buckle down.
